How to Add/Update Task?

Add task in your Idea

Adding tasks or assigning them to the implementor will help to implement faster and better to any idea. It’s very simple to assign a task to the idea implementor with a due date. Assignee users will receive the task notification and it will be added to the tasks list.

Steps to add a task to an idea.

  • Open an idea edit window.
  • Click on New Task button from the Add To Idea section.
  • Add task details and assign them to the user.
  • Attach file(s)(if available).
  • Click on Submit button.

Update Added Task:

There are two ways to update your tasks.

  1. Open an task from My Task board from quick links.
  2. Open an idea edit window and you can see the tasks list added for the idea and click on the progress icon to see the details or update details.

Note:

  • Unless the task progress is completed 100%, you cannot mark it as completed.
  • Updating the task can only be done by the assignee or the assigned user.
  • Until all the tasks are completed, you cannot close an idea.
