Employees share their innovative ideas (daily continuous improvements, even called as kaizens or suggestions) with a purpose to drive transformation at their workplace by adopting new methodology or new processes etc. Often these ideas are evaluated and implemented by someone other than the idea originator.
By classification, each idea has to be belong to a digital idea box (linked to a specific department) and associated with the idea box are the various roles such as Box Owner, Idea Committee and Idea Committee Head – the key stakeholders who facilitate the transformation of the idea from idea stage to successful implementation via the digital workflow.
Ideas can be categorized into four types- C1, C2, C3, and C4.
C1 Idea (Daily Continuous Improvement)
- Small incremental improvement ideas that are implemented almost daily and deliver quick wins (minor impact).
- All approvals are managed at the Idea Box Owner level itself.
- Tasks help to track implementation activities.
C2 Idea (Major Improvements)
- Big improvement ideas that often require days or weeks to implement and deliver major impact.
- All approvals are managed at the Innovation Committee Head level itself.

C3 Idea (A3 Project)
- Disruptive improvement ideas that often require months to implement and deliver disruptive impact across organization.
- All approvals are managed at the Global Innovation Committee level involving experts & stakeholders across the organization.
- Multiple idea projects, idea evaluations and tasks are required to track implementation.
